Error message "Incorrect Firmware" appears while updating Ethernet Disk Mini v2 or Ethernet Big Disk
In most situations, the "Incorrect firmware" error is spurious. There are several potential reasons for this behavior:
- The date and time may be incorrect on the Ethernet Disk. The system clock can be set in the web administration's "Configuration" tab. Ensure both the time zone and clock are set accurately.
- The updater may still be in the compressed Zip folder. Uncompress the update, and try again.
