Even when the 2Big Network is working properly, the message "used obsolete MD ioctl, upgrade your software to use new ictls" appears in the error log. This is normal.
The cause of this is a message built-in to the RAID tool on the drive. It is a useful advisory on full Linux servers, but not for embedded devices like an Ethernet Disk. It can safely be ignored.
